Rheinmetall AG is the listed management holding of the Rheinmetall Group, based in Düsseldorf, Germany. The Rheinmetall Group is divided into two sectors: Automotive and Defense. The Defense sector is Europe’s leading provider of military technology and a long-standing partner of the armed forces.
Rheinmetall Defense consists of three strategic divisions:
- Weapon and Ammunition
- Electronic Solutions
- Vehicle Systems
Rheinmetall Defence Nederland B.V. (RD-NL) in Ede is part of the Vehicle Systems division and is a 100% subsidiary of Rheinmetall Military Vehicles GmbH. RD-NL is the Dutch partner of the Boxer consortium in which the armoured wheeled vehicle Boxer was developed and built together with the German industry. The Dutch Boxer vehicles were developed and built in Ede, currently Boxer vehicles are being assembled for other countries and Ede supports the development of Boxer for other countries. In addition to new production and development of Boxer, maintenance and further development of Boxer and other military vehicles are carried out.
Rheinmetall Group develops, assembles and supplies products to Defense and Police.
