Damen Naval – Securing Our Seas
Damen Naval is the naval shipbuilding division of the Damen Shipyards Group. With roots stretching back almost 150 years – to the Royal Schelde yard in Vlissingen – Damen Naval is the only naval original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the Netherlands.
Having delivered more than 400 vessels to customers all around the world, we are a trusted partner in the international marketplace, known for our role as full-service provider, or integrator, throughout the lifecycle of our products.
Damen Naval stands for a series of significant accomplishments on the international market, among which are our selection for the design and build of the German Navy’s F126 frigates and the delivery of the 10th SIGMA combatant to the export market. Moreover, we are proud of our long tradition of serving the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN), the launching customer of eight successive generations of Damen Combatants. This relationship continues today and into the future with the contract to build the RNLN’s new Combat Support Ship and the new Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates (ASWF) for both the Netherlands and Belgium, and our preselection as one of the parties – along with partner SAAB – for the Walrus Class Submarine Replacement Programme.
