With the signing of the joint declaration by state secretary for Defence, Barbara Visser, and her German counterpart for strengthening cooperation in materiel projects and supporting security and industrial cooperation, the next step is taken in the intensive cooperation between Germany and The Netherlands and their defense sectors.

The NIDV endorses this strategic material cooperation with Germany. It benefits the technological and industrial basis in both countries from development use. Germany is an important partner for the Dutch defense sector. The NIDV is more than willing to contribute to the intensification of the cooperation.

In the execution of this joint declaration, the NIDV intends to cooperate with its sister organization Bundesverband der Deutschen Sicherheits- und Verteidigungsindustrie (BDSV), with whom a successful cooperative event was organized on 4 February in the context of the European Defence Fund. Based on this event, new business-to-business contacts have been created and existing ones have been deepened.
