Creativity Pools is a non-profit organisation that that connects students, young professionals, and organizations to tackle complex societal and strategic challenges. As a spin-off of Erasmus University Rotterdam, we bridge academia, government, and industry through advisory projects, innovation programs, and learning trajectories where academic knowledge, creative thinking, and practical experience converge.

Our mission is to accelerate creativity and innovation by combining the fresh perspective of young talent with the experience of seasoned professionals. Teams consist of students from leading Dutch institutions – such as TU Delft, Leiden University, and Erasmus University – guided by experienced coaches and experts from the field. This unique “inter” approach is what sets us apart:

  • Interdisciplinary:students and professionals from diverse fields collaborate on one challenge.
  • Intergenerational:young talent works side by side with senior experts, fostering mentorship and cross-learning.
  • Intereducational:participants from MBO, HBO, and WO levels co-create in one team.

We deliver rapid, high-impact results through short-cycle “pressure-cooker” projects that uncover blind spots, challenge assumptions, and generate actionable solutions. Our methods emphasize creativity as an acceleratorbehavioral and cultural change, and systemic insight – focusing not only on technical solutions but on lasting organizational adoption.

Creativity Pools operates independently and without commercial bias. Our work is guided by curiosity and public value, not by financial incentives. This independence allows us to provide high-quality, cost-efficient innovation programs that rival traditional consultancies in depth and structure, yet remain accessible to public and private partners alike.

Our portfolio includes:

  • Masterclasses of the Future– immersive learning journeys exploring sustainability, disruptive technologies, and global transitions.
  • Consultancy Trajectories– multi-week innovation projects addressing strategic or “wicked” problems through interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Strategic Hackathons– intensive one-day sessions where organizations and students co-create practical breakthroughs.

Collaboration with Creativity Pools strengthens an organization’s innovation capacity, enhances its employer brand, and provides direct access to emerging talent and cutting-edge ideas.
