Angelien Eijsink new chairperson NIDV

As of today, Angelien Eijsink is the new chair of the Netherlands Industries for Defence and Security (NIDV). “Security is something you create together and concerns us all. Our men and women in uniform deserve the best equipment for what they do to protect us as citizens” says Eijsink. “I think it is great to contribute to the successful cooperation between government, companies and knowledge institutions of the Golden Ecosystem. German KMW and DEFENTURE plan cooperation

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW), the German systems supplier for battle tanks and combat systems, and Defenture, the Dutch manufacturer of special-purpose vehicles, intend to enter into close strategic cooperation. A letter of intent (LoI) has already been signed by both companies.

Director NIDV appointed to EC Expert Group

With the appointment of NIDV Director Ron Nulkes to the Commission Expert Group on policies and programmes relevant to EU Space, Defence and Aeronautics industry, the NIDV has a platform to directly represent the interests of the Dutch defence and security sector to the European Commission. This expert group was established by the Director-General for Defence Industry and Space (DEFIS) of the European Commission.

Defenture to develop tactical vehicle for German special forces

Defenture has been awarded a contract to develop and produce tactical vehicles for the German Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK, Special Forces Command) by BAAINBw, the German Armed Forces procurement organisation. The contract concerns the delivery of up to 80 vehicles in various configurations.

Delft companies to work on swarm-based recon

Companies Delft Dynamics B.V., Tective Robotics, Avalor AI and research institute  TNO will be teaming up to bring a swarm-based reconnaissance capability to the Dutch Ministry of Defence in the awarded defence technology project SPEAR (Swarm-based Persistent Autonomous Reconnaissance)! This project will be supported by the Robotics & Autonomous Systems (RAS) unit of the 13th Light Brigade of the Royal Netherlands Army.

Event with Elbit Systems attracts 100 participants

On July 21, Elbit Systems and the NIDV, held a virtual industry day for Dutch companies. The event was conducted in cooperation with the Commissariat for Military Production of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. With about 100 participants, a large part of the Dutch defense technological and industrial base participated in the three-hour live broadcast.
