Vydar is a European defence-technology company based in Delft, the Netherlands, developing the edge-AI foundation that lets autonomous systems operate in contested and GPS-denied environments. Its core technology, Vydar EdgeAI, runs advanced computer-vision and navigation algorithms directly onboard, so platforms can sense, understand, and navigate their surroundings without relying on satellite positioning or constant data links, exactly the conditions modern conflict is designed to disrupt.

Vydar delivers this capability through a family of edge-AI processing modules built for European sovereignty and extreme efficiency. Each squeezes the maximum possible performance out of European-sourced silicon, an approach that turns supply-chain constraints into a deliberate engineering advantage.

Forge is a compact, SWAP-C optimised processor module designed for FPV quadcopters and fixed-wing drones, bringing onboard vision and navigation to small, cost-sensitive platforms. Factor builds on the same philosophy with a more powerful NPU and 214 TOPS of processing, enough to run vision-based navigation on missile systems and larger aerial vehicles. Fracture is the open-architecture member of the family, a defence-grade alternative to commercial AI compute platforms (Nvidia Jetson and/or Raspberry Pi platforms) that gives integrators flexibility above 214 TOPS without depending on non-European technology.

Together these products serve the air and land domains, supplying the perception and navigation intelligence that larger systems can embed or that end-users can field directly. Vydar is built to integrate into existing and next-generation platforms rather than replace them, positioning the company as a sovereign European supplier of mission-critical autonomy.

As a Dutch company, Vydar strengthens European strategic autonomy by keeping critical edge-AI and navigation capability under European control, shortening supply chains and reducing dependence on foreign technology for functions central to autonomous defence systems. Beyond its current portfolio, the company is actively developing further programmes that extend the same EdgeAI core into new mission areas.

Vydar welcomes contact from Ministries of Defence and national procurement organisations, prime contractors and OEMs seeking European partners, and fellow industry players exploring integration, collaboration, and teaming.
