InControl is a 100% Dutch company with more than 36 years of expertise in simulation for large-scale, complex, and time-critical operations and infrastructures. Its mission is to make complex physical processes more efficient and robust – making operations safer and more robust.
The company’s core product is simulation software that allows to model future scenarios and make data-driven decisions. Long-standing partnerships with customers such as ProRail and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport attest to its track record. Its customer base is global, spanning sectors including intralogistics, supply chain, defense, airports, rail transport, and large public events.
The product portfolio comprises four software products. Enterprise Dynamics® is a powerful discrete event simulation platform focused on the flow of goods. Pedestrian Dynamics® is an agent-based simulation tool designed for crowd flow modelling. The Enterprise Resource Simulator (ERS®) is the next-generation simulation platform, built for applications requiring high computational performance — enabling large models to run faster.
ERS is a highly capable and versatile simulation engine that serves as the foundation for simulation-based applications and the rapid execution of complex or large-scale models. This opens the door to near real-time decision support and planning calculations that are not feasible with conventional tools. The ability to run complex models at speed enables commanders to make faster and better decisions, and to evaluate competing future scenarios before committing to a course of action. The architecture of ERS supports a broad range of use cases — extending well beyond logistics into combined land, air and naval operations, medical return logistics, ballistics, optimal approach routes, and more.
The fourth product, the Supply Chain Network Simulator (SCNS), is an ERS-based tool that provides insight into how supply chains can be optimized, made more resilient, or adapted to real-time developments.
InControl’s team has backgrounds in AI, operations research, econometrics and mathematics. Close ties with universities and research institutions — including the NLDA — ensure the scientific rigor and practical relevance of its software. The company holds ISO 9001 certification.
InControl has delivered simulation solutions to Danish, German and Dutch Defense. In 2025, at the Purple Nectar event, the company was awarded the Best Simulation Solution Award by the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
