Geopolitical (GATRI) Update

On Monday 8 June 2026, NIDV, in collaboration with the World Trade Centers Association, HCSS, High Tech Campus Eindhoven and Mikrocentrum, is organising the event ‘Geopolitical Update 2026 – From Civil Production to Military Production’ in Eindhoven.

During this exclusive event, Prof. Rob de Wijk (HCSS) will provide a current analysis of geopolitical developments and their impact on international trade and industry. The latest results of the Geopolitical Annual Trade Risk Index (GATRI) will also be presented.

This year, the focus is specifically on dual-use industries: sectors that can switch from civilian to military production. The event brings together policymakers, experts and entrepreneurs to share knowledge and insights on geopolitical risks, trade developments and strategic resilience.
