Defence confirms interest in silent diesel powered fuel cell

The contract
On Monday the 4th of March the Dutch Ministry of Defence and HyReF Power BV signed the CODEMO contract. CODEMO is an initiative of the Dutch Ministry of Defence to support small and medium enterprises (SME) with the development and financing of innovative products for the defence industry. With the establishment of the Committee of the Defence Equipment Development (CODEMO) in 2010 Defence set up a fund that can help companies with their promising products to become a success.

Defensie kiest Delft Dynamics voor ontwikkeling vliegende robots (14-03-2013)

Deze week is bekend geworden, dat Defensie in het kader van de SBIR oproep “Veilig Landoptreden” uit 44 door Nederlandse bedrijven ingediende voorstellen het projectvoorstel ASIMOV van Delft Dynamics uiteindelijk als beste heeft beoordeeld en heeft geselecteerd voor uitvoering. Er zal nu gestart worden met dit twee jaar durende onderzoeks- en ontwikkelingsproject, waarin een Autonome Snel Inzetbare Multicopter voor Overzicht en Veiligheid (ASIMOV) wordt ontwikkeld. Deze compacte en gemakkelijk in te zetten onbemande vliegende robot kan uitgerust worden met verschillende, snel verwisselbare camera's en zal de mogelijkheid hebben om automatisch te starten en landen, om zodoende met dit systeem het toekomstige landoptreden veiliger te maken voor het defensiepersoneel.

Defensie en industrie demonstreren nieuwe beveilingstechnieken (5-03-2013)

Militaire kampen zijn doorgaans zwaar beveiligd. Dankzij nieuwe vindingen van de Nederlandse industrie wordt dit in de toekomst nog beter. Vanuit een gesimuleerde compound op het Artillerie Schietkamp in ’t Harde werden gisteren de laatste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van radarsystemen, beeldverbetering voor camera’s en akoestische sensoren gedemonstreerd.

Microflown AVISA succesvol in HTSM STW call op het deelgebied security (21-02-2013)

Het voorstel UNPAVED ( Underwater Particle Velocity Sensor Development) zoals dat in het kader van de STW call HTSM was ingediend door de vakgroep Transducers, Science & Technology van de Universiteit Twente is gehonoreerd. Het voorstel wordt voor circa een half miljoen Euro gecofinancierd door Microflown AVISA, de beoogde exclusieve gebruiker van de te verwerven kennis.

DGLC organiseert in samenwerking met C2SC namens Thales, Microflown Avisa en TNO op 28 februari 2013 een Roadshow op het Artillerie Schietkamp in ‘t Harde (4-02-2013)

Op een gesimuleerde compound worden de nieuwste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van compound beveiliging, multi-missie radar, beeldverbetering en sensor technieken grotendeels geïntegreerd in één systeem, gedemonstreerd.

Inbedding in TNO behoudt Embedded Systems Institute voor Nederlandse hightech industrie (16-01-2013)

Variass haalt miljoenenopdracht binnen (16-01-2013)

Veendam, 16 januari 2013 – Variass Systems B.V. uit Veendam, onderdeel van de Variass Groep, heeft een miljoenenopdracht binnengehaald voor het leveren van elektronische besturingssystemen ten behoeve van het nieuwe pantserrupsvoertuig Puma aan Rheinmetall Landsysteme, een dochteronderneming van het Rheinmetall concern in Düsseldorf.

New lightweight fabric in TenCate Defender™ M collection (3-01-2013)

TenCate Protective Fabrics has further expanded its product portfolio with a new lightweight fabric – TenCate Defender™ M - DP 9180 (180 g/m2). This inherently heat- and flame-resistant fabric is used in garments for professionals operating in the colours dark blue and black, such as naval personnel and military-police or special-squad officers. TenCate already has a lightweight fabric in its collection for this field – the 210 g/m2 DP 9210. This fabric has been purchased for a number of years by the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation (NDLO) for Norwegian Naval protective clothing. But now we have an even lighter version.
